Pre-nuptial, Post-nuptial and Separation agreements, Child Custody and Support, Spousal SupportMatrimonial Law is a large and complex subdivision of the legal system that requires experienced legal knowledge. Matrimonial Lawyers deal with issues related to divorce settlements, child custody disputes, spousal and child support, and with a variety of premarital and post marital agreements such as prenuptial agreements, postnuptial and separation agreements and divorce stipulations. Often child custody issues require the involvement of the Agency of Children Services (ACS). Involvement of the ACS may result in the parties’ children being taken away from one or even both parents. Our firm assures that ACS involvement would cause minimal damage if any at all to the interest of our clients and their children. Whether a couple is preparing for marriage and considering a prenuptial agreement or taking the first steps towards a divorce, it is important that both parties avail of expert legal counsels. However, there are exceptions to such rules and our law firm can complete prenuptial agreements, postnuptial and separation agreements in cases where one side is not represented by a council, provided that the other side is fluent in English and is willing to sign a waiver of attorney document. Such an approach reduces expenses by half for the divorcing couples or those who are interested in protecting their interests by means of premarital and post marital agreements including separation agreements. If a prenuptial agreement is being drawn up it must be put together in such a way as to be applicable in a court of law. In the case of a contested divorce, where a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement is already in place, the contesting lawyers will need to have expert knowledge of the matrimonial legal system in order to render the contract void. Similarly an experienced and skilled lawyer is essential when this contract is being drawn up, so as to help defend it against potential future challenges. The same applies for child custody and child support disputes. The rulings made concerning children can have long lasting effects, both in terms of the division of family and future finances of each party. Representation by our law firm in the above-mentioned cases assures the best possible defense of our clients interests in divorce settlements, and custody and support issues in order to protect our clients and their children. |
